Bell and Telus have decided to ditch Huawei and instead sign Ericsson for their 5G equipment needs.

This should help Canadian government decide whether to ban Huawei in the country.

Bell said it will use Ericsson for all their 5G needs and might also use Nokia for some other 5G needs that Ericsson can not provide.

Now that bell and Telus have avoided Huawei for 5g; Canada can easily place them on the list of providers not allowed. @JustinTrudeau . Should be noted that tell us uses their equipment still, just can't have them for infrastructure.

Just last week ago, Canadian court has allowed extradition hearings for daughter of Huawei’s president to the United States.

This news will definitely put some pressure on Canada – China’s relationship.

Huawei said it supports Bell’s decision and hope they can work together on some other needs in the near future.
