Airy3D, Montreal 3D vision startup, raises $4.6m Canadian

Airy3D raised money from CRCM Ventures and R7 Partners with participation from WI Harper Group, Robert Bosch Venture Capital, Nautilus Venture Partners and angel investors affiliates of TandemLaunch, the Montreal-based incubator that spun out Airy3D.

Airy:3D provides a suite of passive depth recovery technologies that bring 3D machine vision to cameras. It serves entertainment, automotive, industrial, and security and surveillance markets. The company was founded in 2015 and is based in Montreal, Canada with about 10 employees.

Vancouver Wiivv Custom Fit 3D Printed Insoles raises $4m USD

Wiivv Wearables Inc., Vancouver based company, raised $4m in Series A funding from investors Eclipse VC, Evonik Venture Capital, Real Ventures, and Asimov Ventures.

Wiivv is a bionics company that creates 3D printed, custom gear using 3D-mapping technology, accessible by everyone from a smartphone. They are building a better foundation for every step you take with made-to-fit-you insoles and footwear.


Wivv had its headstart from Kickstarter campaign https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1145906288/base-by-wiivv-custom-3d-printed-insoles having more than 2,765 backers pledged $235,054 USD to help bring their project to life.
